Data Migration

Data migration is a critical initiative when deploying Google Apps. You must decide (1) what data to migrate, such as mail messages, calendar events and contacts, (2) whose data you need to migrate as well as (3) how to migrate the data or the approach that best suits your environment such as server-side (administrator-driven, centrally-managed) or client-side (user-driven) data migration or a hybrid using both approaches. In this section you'll how to migrate data from Microsoft legacy systems using Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Exchange (GAMME), a server-side tool and Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Outlook, a client-side tool.
